Stainless Steel Metric Internal Retaining Ring / circlip for bore DIN472/D1300/DHO/J
Stainless steel rings is made from SS420, SS304 or SS316. SS420 is recommended as it is heat-treated with good spring properties. There will be no heat treatment for SS304 and SS316.

Heat treatment and finish
- Austempering is applied to increase the mechanical property of our products. Our modern heat treatment equipment and skillful technicians guarantee each retaining ring within the mechanical properties required.
- The standard finish of carbon steel retaining rings is phosphate.
- Dacromet is available on request.
- Zinc plating is available, but is not recommended because of the risk of hydrogen brittleness.
- Stainless steel is polished into original color after heat treatment.

Stainless Steel SS420
2Cr13, which is equivalent to 420, is frequently used for SS retaining rings. The hardness reaches HRC 44-50 after heat treatment. This makes our SS retaining rings much excel the just 'stamped stainless retaining rings'
