Magnifying Glass

The issues between Eddie Kingston & Chris Jericho have led to the most violent match that AEW has. It’s time for Blood & Guts. Chris Jericho is well aware of the dangers of the double caged structure, having led The Inner Circle to battle against The Pinnacle in the first ever Blood & Guts match. However now, he’s got the Jericho Appreciation Society backing him up, which means Santana & Ortiz are against him here tonight.

Also on the side of Eddie Kingston is the Blackpool Combat Club, who are sending Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and newest member Claudio Castagnoli to the fight. The Jericho Appreciation Society has the advantage in this match, but the match can’t end until all 12 men are in the cage.

The first two men have four minutes alone, and following that – every three minutes another man enters. This continues until we see The Match Beyond, where you can win by submission or surrender.

Guevara & Claudio would start this one up – both men choosing to be the workhorses of their teams. Claudio would throw Guevara around before some rushing European Uppercuts. Guevara was being tossed about before he’d bounce on the ropes to get away from Claudio. He was trying to run the clock out, before he’d hit a cutter to counter an uppercut attempt.

Claudio would set up the giant swing, as Daniel Garcia hit the ring. With two men against Claudio, it was finally a more even fight. He’d corner both men and hit some running uppercuts. A basement dropkick and big knee strike would follow, allowing Guevara & Garcia to get the edge.

Claudio would be choked on the ropes, before Yuta would hit the ring to make this more even. Leaping elbow smash would follow, before some heavy German Suplexes on Garcia. He’d move to Guevara, before Claudio would toss Garcia across the ring. As Garcia was being smashed into the steel, Jake Hager would hit the ring.

Hager & Claudio would throw people around, before this former WWE tag team would trade punches. The advantage would see the Jericho Appreciation Society remain in control, with Hager slamming Claudio hard into the mat. Moxley hit the ring with a steel chair in hand, throwing it at Hager before tossing Garica and Guevara around.

Claudio would hit a bulldog onto the steel chair, as Moxley raked Garcia’s face off the cage – and stabbed him with a fork. Garcia was bleeding, before being hit with the Hart Attack. Claudio would toss Guevara into a cutter, before Yuta hit the diving splash.

Angelo Parker would hit the ring and tried his best to evade the Blackpool Combat Club. He’d be caught with a Gutwrench Suplex, Michinoku Driver, and a trio of uppercuts. With the aid of Hager, Parker gained some control of the match – with Claudio taking a chair to the spine.

Ortiz would hit the ring before hitting some lariats. He’d single handedly drop the JAS before hitting Guevara with a powerbomb. Claudio used Guevara to spear Hager, and Moxley had a bag of broken glass that was poured in the ring. Parker would be piledriven onto the glass, and he was already bleeding anyways.

Hager would be stabbed with the broken glass. Garcia & Hager would crotch Claudio on the top rope, before Moxley looked to make the save – but was tossed into the steel. Matt Menard hit the ring with a chair, and would make great use of it. A double DDT on Ortiz and a suplex on a chair for Moxley, who was now bleeding.

Menard would choke Moxley on the cage, as Yuta would be clawed by Parker. Santana brought a table into the ring, and a barbed wire bat as well. The fresh man would nail a backdrop driver, and a heavy uranage – his knee buckling on the way down. Claudio hit the Very European uppercut, as Moxley drove some wooden spikes into the Mernard, as Yuta kept the violence coming.

Yuta & Garcia traded strikes as Jericho hit the ring with the bat. Ortiz would hit a DDT on Jericho, before some German Suplexes. Santana hit a right hand, as Hager hit some slams before Claudio slammed him down. Garcia hit an uppercut and just pissed Claudio off.

Jericho hit a codebreaker, and Kingston hit the ring with murderous intent. Kendo stick in hand, he’d swing for the fences as this match officially starts! Kingston was beating everyone with the kendo stick, and Jericho tried to flee. Jericho would be beaten, and Kingston would bring out rubbing alcohol.

Hager would stop this from happening, but Conti would pass it back to Jericho from the outside. Moxley & Yuta hit a Doomsday Device, as Kingsto & Ortiz hit a powerbomb through the table on Hager. Moxley had another bag, and this time it was thumbtacks, which got mixed in with the glass.

Claudio would expose the boards of the other ring, and Menard was tossed into the tags. Parker was hung off the outside of the cage, as Moxley applied the bulldog choke on Menard. Jericho would spray Moxley with the alcohol, before hitting the Judas Effect.

Moxley had thumb tacks driven into his forehead, and Parker would slip down to the floor. Jericho would block a Paradigm Shift with a low blow before hitting a DDT onto the tacks. Moxley was then dragged through the tacks before Walls Of Jericho was applied. Kingston would grab a hand full of tacks and throw them at Jericho.

Jericho would use a fire extinguisher, as Conti attacked the referee and stole the keys. Ruby Soho would make the save on Conti, but Jericho would flee the ring – because that worked SO good for him last time. Kingston would follow, and they would throw hands on the top of the cage.

Jericho would be bitten and hit with the uraken. Guevara climbed the cage now, saving his mentor. Kingston hit a low blow, and threw Guevara off the cage and through the table – and would cackle like the Mad King he is.

Jericho & Kingston were alone on top of the cage, the other men forgotten below. They’d trade blows, both men trying their best to stay up there. Jericho would get the double leg into the Walls Of Jericho. Claudio now climbed the cage, and saved Kingston.

He’d look for the giant swing on top of the cage, but Matt Menard made the save. Menard looked for the piledriver on the cage, as Kingston locked in the Stretch Plum – and Claudio the sharpshooter – and Menard tapped out! Kingston was less than impressed with not getting the win – let alone having Claudio take the glory.

They’d celebrate their win up high, sans Santana who couldn’t make the climb with his knee injury! Was this the best Blood & Guts match in AEW history? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
