Fast charging, cable-free with these great wireless options

The wireless charging situation with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is a little strange. While the phones support up to 21 and 23 watts of wireless power, respectively, that's only when they're charged on the newest first-party Pixel Stand. Otherwise, you'll be looking for 15W wireless chargers that support the Extended Power Profile.

In light of all that, we've done our best to simplify the things for you here. These are our favorite wireless chargers for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro right now.

If you need to charge several devices at the same time, the iOttie iON Wireless Duo is an excellent option. Not only does it feature an elegant design, but it also combines a 15W stand charger with a 5W flat surface to fill up your Pixel 6 and wireless earbuds at the same time. It's not cheap, but it ships with a cable and a wall adapter.

Although the light gray option might look better, make sure to get the dark one if you have a Pixel 6, as it can charge it up at 15W instead of the slower 10W speed for the light gray model.

If you are just looking for an affordable option to charge your Pixel 6 at high speeds, this pad is for you. It doesn't ship with an adapter, but it's powered using a USB-C cable, meaning that you can use the one you usually use to charge your phone with this pad. The Color Rokk Wireless Charging Pad is probably the best option if you're not interested in charging several devices simultaneously. It's cheap and fast, making it a perfect choice for your Pixel 6.

Google's second-gen Pixel Stand is the only option to wirelessly charge your Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro at their top 21W and 23W speeds. It's not cheap, but the Pixel Stand comes with everything you need, including a wall adapter. It can also charge other devices, such as phones from other manufacturers and earbuds, thanks to its Qi certification. It's designed to turn your Pixel handset into a Nest Hub, letting you control your connected cameras, lights, and more. Despite its price, this is the best wireless charger you can get for the phone right now.

Despite its high price, the Moshi Sette Q pad can charge three devices simultaneously, two wirelessly at up to 15W each, and a third using the built-in USB-A connector. Its gorgeous textured fabric design will make it a great addition to your desk or nightstand to fill up your phone, watch, and buds while working or sleeping.

Even though its price is relatively high, it's important to keep in mind this pad ships with an adapter and a USB-C cable, and is basically a three-in-one powerhouse.

The Spigen 15W Wireless Charging Pad offers a relatively high charging speed and features a non-slip mat to ensure your phone won't fall while it's charging. Sadly, it's fairly expensive compared to some options on this list and doesn't ship with an adapter, but it could be worth considering if you prefer a flat charger compared to a stand design. It doesn't seem to be EPP-compliant, but user reviews mention fast speeds — including with the Pixel 6 Pro.

The Anker PowerCore III 10K Wireless Portable Charger is a great option that combines a wireless charger and a power bank. It can fill up your phone at up to 10W wirelessly, even when the bank is plugged in. On top of that, it can charge two devices simultaneously thanks to the dual USB-C and USB-A ports, with a maximum speed of 18W. Unfortunately, the power bank ships with neither an AC adapter nor a cable, so you'll have to buy an 18W wall charger separately to get the most out of it.

There are a lot of great options to charge your Pixel 6 at home, but what about when you're in the car? The iOttie Wireless Car Charger is an excellent way to wirelessly charge your phone on the go. It ships with a dual USB adapter and a cable and is adjustable to offer the most comfortable position when driving. Also, unlike some other wireless charging car mounts, it doesn't require a magnet or a special case, making it easier to use with your Pixel 6 or any other Qi-compatible device.

The Belkin Boost Charge Wireless Charging Pad comes with official EPP support, enabling you to charge your Pixel 6 at up to 12W, which is as close as you can get to its maximum 21W speed without having to shell out for a Pixel Stand. It's not the cheapest option on this list, but it comes with a cable and an AC adapter and features a non-slip coating to avoid your phone slipping off the charger.

This Anker charger is a reliable and understated option that fits into a wide variety of locations, ranging from your public office to your living room to your bedroom. It can charge your phone at up to 15W. Even though it features an LED light, it's easy to block at night if you have issues with bright LEDs when you're trying to sleep. However, it's a bit pricey and doesn't ship with an adapter. Thankfully, it's compatible with Power Delivery (PD), meaning that almost any USB-C charger you have at home should power this pad.

The instinct to reach for the fastest charger possible is understandable, especially for wired chargers, but for wireless charging — especially on the Pixel 6 — you don't always need to go full speed all the time. For example, if you're looking for a wireless charger to go on your nightstand to throw your Pixel overnight, reliability and flexible positioning matter more. The Color Rokk and Spigen wireless charging pads fit the bill perfectly. After all, the closer to full your Pixel 6 gets, the more Google's software will crank down the speed to avoid damaging or overheating the phone.

The Pixel Stand would work great for an office where you can take advantage of its unique software and speedy top-offs at the day's end when you might be preparing for an evening out. However, it's also quite steep for a single-device charging stand. The iOttie iON Wireless Duo, on the other hand, has a Made for Google 15W wireless charging stand plus a 5W charging pad perfectly sized for your Google Pixel Buds Pro once they arrive this July. The iOttie's wireless charging stand is also covered in gray fabric with a pattern that hides dust and oil build-up over time. (Do you know how many oils and dead skin cells from your hands/face end up on your phone before setting it down?) The rest of the charger is gray plastic that's easier to wipe down and keep from looking like a dust bunny exploded on it.

Whichever of these wireless chargers you add to your collection, please remember that your Pixel 6 case can interfere with the wireless charging if it's too thick or has some bulky phone grip attached. I swap cases at night to avoid waking up to a phone that didn't charge because it didn't align properly.

When it comes to picking the right wireless charger for your Pixel 6, it's important to pay attention to the charging speeds and the standards used for them. Apple, Samsung, and Google use proprietary standards for their 15W wireless profiles. While 15W MagSafe charging is available on a select few MagSafe chargers, only Samsung's first-party wireless chargers will charge a Galaxy S22 at 15W. Google's 21-23W wireless charging may only be available on the Pixel Stand (2nd Gen), but we have scores of third-party wireless chargers that will give your Pixel 15W — and thousands more that won't.

Before Apple's 15W MagSafe, Samsung's 15W Fast Charge 2.0 Wireless, and the sheer lunacy of OnePlus Warp Charge, the only phones wirelessly charging at 15W were made by LG. The former smartphone titan partnered with IDT back in 2017 to give us the first phone and charger to support 15W Extended Power Profile, which expanded the Qi wireless charging standard from 5W up to 15W. And thousands of manufacturers stuffed in support for LG phones so that they could put 15W on the box. While LG and Google use 15W Extended Power Profile for charging, Pixels have been notoriously picky about wireless chargers.

You need to look beyond the 15W product name and check the compatibility chart and reviews if they're available. Android Police has tested all but one of the chargers on this list to ensure they charge a Pixel 6 or 6 Pro at the fastest speed available rather than being kicked down to the 5W baseline charge.
