Christmas is just around the corner and no doubt people will be looking for all sorts of cute little gadgets as stocking fillers. German-based lifestyle tech accessory designer Vonmählen is counting on our unending appetite for those little gizmos we can slip in our bags and then wonder how we ever managed without them. 

Vonmählen used Kickstarter recently to launch High Five, a clever little 5-in-1 charging cable that doubled as a key ring. The company managed to raise more than €125,000 from 5,491 backers and now Vonmählen is announcing the High Six. It’s the most compact six-in-one charging cable and includes an all-important integrated bottle opener.

High Six has a USB-C to USB-C cable, a USB- A adapter, a 2-in-1 micro-USB/ Lightning adapter and all these connectors fit comfortably within its sleek metal casing and there’s even an integrated bottle opener so as well as being fully charged, you need never go thirsty. Additionally, the cable on the High Six includes two strong magnets that tightly hold the cable together whilst also functioning as a place to stow the adapters when using other connectors.

The High Six has been improved with a USB-A cap that won’t slip off and get lost, plus there’s now a USB-C to USB-C cable instead of the micro-USB to USB-C cable on the High Five. The High Six can also handle power delivery up to 60 watts and transfers data. Compared with its predecessor, the High Six is more compact and lighter.

The new High Six weighs just 16.5 grams its dimensions are 12 x 16.5 x 61 mm. The charging cable meets all current technical standards and makes an elegant multi-purpose key chain accessory. Plus it’s more useful than those Swiss Army knives with tools for getting stones out of a horse’s hoof.

Pricing & Availability: The High Six is available in black, all black, silver and rose gold. It’s on Kickstarter for 30 days until November 25, 2021. Prices start at €21 and the units will ship in January 2022 which is a little late for Christmas but sounds like it could well be worth waiting for.
